There is a rule or law for that in CA, I know you have to own for 6 months. I would think odainnwite. It is to give anyone with a legitimate lien against you time to attach it to the building. Ask the lender if you can do with you also being on title, then there is no chance you are trying to dodge a debt or hide an asset.

Large portrions, good food. Not for those on a diet. Bacon cheeseburger, real bacon, real cheese, garlicy ceaser salsd. A consistant cafe , bang for your $.

Never ever again would I go to this place for a meal.
Where to start............
YES, the burgers are HUGE. Tasteless and HUGE. Just because it is big doesn't make it good.
We had the bacon cheddar burger and the Mushroom Mottza burger...... neither was any better than the other. Why is too much effort to fry onions and add them to a burger for flavor ?
I had a Caesar Salad with mine and it was limp and wilted brown lettuce. The fries came from the bottom of a bag and were burned !

When we arrived we were told there would be a half hour wait because the cook was unpacking the grocery order. ONE hour later we were served our food and there was no one in the place. Rush hour consisted of NO ONE
RED FLAG !!! What does it say if customers have to wait while the cook unpacks groceries?
The entire time we were in the Cafe the staff was speaking in their outside voices to all the customers and in the kitchen about their personal lives. I dread to think that a visitor to our city would have this place recommended and they left thinking we are a city of buffoons because that is the feeling of this place.
The prices are reasonable but no price makes this a great place to eat.

Mel's diner is a great place to eat. I love going for breakfast especially because she serves traditional pan fried hash browns.

The one thing I noticed though, is the staff does this announcement about a 45 minute hold and many people leave. Then we see customers order and the food is only 15 min. or so coming out....that's not a long wait. Perhaps it would be better to ask, if you're in a hurry, or something like that. I never mind waiting, but it's good to be informed. The wait staff is great as is the food and the cooking. Keep up the good work.

I wish Mel would post her hours on a web site, being they never answer their phone.

Great food @ great prices. You won't go away hungry even if you are a starving university or college student.

Simply trhe best breakfast you'll ever have. Nothing like good ol' fashioned prairie cooking.

All other restaurants in Saskatoon had better hope Mel doesn't expand her Cafe... I don't know how she does it but boy the food is huge, tastes awesone, and costs next to nuthin'. I struck up a conversation with a guy in the next booth and he said he was a trucker who always stopped by Mel's on the way through the City... and truckers always know where to eat. Another guy said he was from Speedy Creek and makes excuses to come to S'toon so he can swing by Mel's too. After having her lunch special, now I know why...

I'm definitely gonna make this a regular pit stop from here on out! Thanks Mel!!!!!

Wow. Unbelievable home cooking at an unbelievable price. I'm a big eater and I had a hard time finishing the plate... it was massive! I glanced over and saw someone else trying to discern how they were going to eat one of Mel's hamburgers (it was home made and so large, the guy couldn't fit it in his mouth... but my goodnedd he looked happy! If you're looking for fine cuisine Mel's is not the place for you, but if you want outstanding home cooking in huge quantities at prices I remember from the 1980's, then Mel's is for you.

from the first time i went there. i did not believe my friend when she said that the meals were good size{ understatement} but then i went and they were enormous size. no one leaves MEL'S hungry.That place is the best place to eat with warm atmosphere.

Recently reviewed in the Saskstoon Star Phoenix, I had to go and try Mel's Cafe. I was not disappointed! A restaurant with a small town feel, Mel's is by far the best value I've seen in a long time. The restaurant is a victim of its own success and wait times to get a table can be long, but for home cooked food in portions that will satisfy any giant, Mel's is worth the wait!

Great food at unbeatable prices! Mel's has a great breakfast special and her lunch specials are heaping. For value, quantity and homecooked quality, Mel's Cafe is by far the best restaurant I've come across for quite some time.

Although Mel has recently introduced an updated menu and slightly higher prices, Mel's Cafe is still has the best prices for value in town. Stop by and have a bite to eat you won't regret it!

I couldn't believe how much food I received for around $5! The daily specials are fantastic. I saw someone else get the breakfast special and couldn't believe how full their plate was. I had the Cream of Mushroom soup with my meal... it was the best mushroom soup I've ever had! I'm definitely going to be a return customer! Thank you Mel's!

This place is great if you want good food - the restaurant isn't fancy, but the food is hearty. I can't think of a better place to get a hot cup of coffee and bowl of soup on a cold winter day.

Fantastic home cooked food at the best prices in town. The place is always filled to capacity and no wonder with the quality of her soups, burgers and daily specials. Not a fancy joint, it caters to the average Joe who wants really good food and lots of it. Opens at 7am and closes 4pm Mon-Sat, 10am-2pm on Sundays... if you want to drop by & get a table, come early.
